Rich Baker is a full time actor, singer, & improviser in Chicago, IL. He currently performs regularly with ComedySportz Chicago, The Comedy Shrine in Naperville and gives tours of 1920's era Chicago on the Untouchable Gangster Bus Tour. He’s also performed with Improvacadia, the iO Theatre, Second City’s Director’s Showcases and WNEP Theatre. In addition he performs live promotional events and has been featured in student and independent films.
Rich first performed improv when he co-founded TCU’s first and only improv troupe Senseless Acts of Comedy. He appeared in several student and local independent films including a TV series “Astonishing News,” filmed in the USA, but aired in Japan.
After college, Rich worked for the Texas Radio Theatre Company, ComedySportz-Dallas hired Rich in January of 2004. He spent his time performing there and many stand up comedy clubs through out the Dallas/Fort Worth area until his move to Chicago in June of 2005.
When he’s not performing, Rich writes songs and comedy sketches. For fun he watches a lot of non-reality TV, plays basketball, plays poker, and rocks out with his piano and guitar. And he loves rooting for the TCU Horned frogs every football season.
